The greens and the blacks aren’t just about who’s more popular; the greens also represent the widespread belief that a woman shouldn’t be able to inherit the crown. Support for Rhaenyra, a.k.a. identifying as one of the blacks, is a sign of support for women’s equality. Corlys is the husband of Princess Rhaenys and father to Laenor and Laena.

The line of Targaryen monarchs ended with King Aerys II Targaryen as he and his eldest son Crown Prince Rhaegar Targaryen were killed and the Iron Throne was usurped by King Robert I Baratheon.
